One simple site makes every other site on the internet better

View stats on each user. Specifically you can see “How much does this person enjoy vs. their friends?” Just go to their profile and click view stats, which will be under their avatar.
Keep that link in mind, I’m sure I’ll introduce more of these stats in the near future.
Incident at the Roden household
A few minutes after screaming at the top of her lungs for a rather long period of time, Ara remarked, “My throat is sore.”
Later, referring to her husband (me), “It was a rather manly cry.”
Can you guess the incident? I’ll post the cause of the commotion a bit later.
Dr. Dog - The Ark
These guys are fantastic and they’re playing tonight at Webster Hall. I happen to have an extra ticket, anyone want it?

My Manly Night
We’re just finishing up our Nora Ephron-athon and eating Mallowmars.
Err… we’ve been watching a lot of Die Hard movies… what did I say?
The Band - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
Without question, The Band is greatest Canadian band of all time. Canadians (with an American drummer) who came to embody the sound of a romanticized American south. As I’m sure you know, they have so many great songs that I could have posted, so I’ve settled on this old classic.
Also, my favorite fun fact about The Band is that the name suposedly comes from people referring to them as ‘the band’ when they were backing Bob Dylan, they were actually called ‘The Hawks’ at the time.
And with that, Canadian music week is dead. Long live Canadian music week!
Rock Central Plaza - My Children, Be Joyful
This song is great. It reminds me of Neutral Milk Hotel, if Neutral Milk Hotel did a concept album about being a mechanical horse.
Tomorrow, which will be my final day of Canadian music week, will conclude with the greatest Canadian band of all time. There shall be no discussion on the righteousness of that band, nor the definitiveness of the decision.
