This picture is pretty amazing. It looks like they’re doing some kind of syncronized running routine and not just getting ready to pile on Freddy… in a totally manly way.

Plus: We’re now olympic bound.

Clever: an entrepreneur gave me an iPod with his pitch on it so that I would listen to it.
That speech today? The one that has pundits—from the liberal David Corn at The Nation (“This is as sophisticated a discussion of race as any American politician has sought to present to the public”) to the conservative Charles Murray, of National Review Online (“it is just plain flat out brilliant—rhetorically, but also in capturing a lot of nuance about race in America. It is so far above the standard we’re used to from our pols.”), and those inbetween—noting the brilliance, sophistication, sincerity and candor of the words spoken by Obama? That speech? He wrote it himself. Once more, with feeling: He wrote it. Himself. Barack Obama did. He wrote it.

Former NY Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s paid galpal, “Kristen,” center, made Girls Gone Wild films in Miami Beach in March 2003. (link)

Isn’t “made” a “film” a bit of an overstatement for taking off your shirt for a hat?

It must be super frustrating to work in about.com’s Canada office.

This record and this brave man and his words saved me, again. It is endless and I listen to this at least three times a day. I have to say it is my favorite Husker/Sugar/Solo record of his. And I swear that is saying so much because Bob might as well have been an invisible guide that kept me strong on my long and rather idiotic journey to this place where I was and will be tonight, sitting quietly at my desk, crafting the words and chords that speak some kind of truth about what I have left in me. Bless you man. You never NEVER give up. And as somebody out here listening, I hear you.it sounds like a fire, mumbling crazily, KEEP THE FAITH!

I must agree with this. Bob Mould is incredible. Hüsker Dü, Sugar, The Daily Show theme song. Is there anything this man can’t do?

I thought this was amusing.

I bought two books from Flickr. Yes, really.

Can you guess which two?

Yahoo Copying Vimeo

The headline may seem like a bit of a stretch, but it's pretty undeniable. This isn't just inspired by, this is clearly a case of them saying "let's copy that." You can see the images in action at their site for Fireagle.

My lady teaches autistic kids in the Bronx. She spends a lot of time creating lessons for the kids on this computer program used for that type of thing. Because she’s a sweetheart, she uploads them to the site of the software maker. At the moment, her lessons are the number 1, 3 AND 5 download on that site.
Brunkert hit his head against a glass door in his dining room, shattering the glass and cutting himself in the neck. He managed to wrap a towel around his neck and left the house to seek help, but collapsed in the garden.
