This is great.
I love this so much. So, so much.
BEST!!! Magazine’s should stop having covers because they aren’t going to beat this.
Everything that needs to be said is said by the cover and the reblog notes.

This is a picture of the shelves at Powells Technical Book Store in Portland, OR. Powells is, without a doubt, the greatest bookstore on the planet. If you’re a nerdy programmer who wrote a book, this is like playing Wrigley Field or Yankee Stadium or Fenway… depending on your tastes.
Thanks for the pic, jstn! Come back soon.

Starting tomorrow, you can get a free Fancy Hands task if you want one. All you need to do is tweet. If you want to know when it launches, twitter will let you know.
Sure, free stuff is great, but my favorite part about this feature is that our “Tweet This” page looks pretty similar the page you see when tweeting from twitter.com. That is to say we honor the styles/colors/background image that you painstakingly picked out when setting up your twitter account. Why do people just ignore that stuff?

Kerry Wood Traded To Yankees
Buster Olney is reporting that the Yankees are close to a deal that would bring the oft injured hurler to the Bronx. The Indians reportedly would pay most of Wood’s contract. Wood is owed $3.6M this year on his contract with a $11M club option next year.
Update : Joel Sherman confirms the deal is done and said the Yankees will pay $1.5M of the $3.6M that Wood is owed this year.
The Yankees also acquired Austin Kearns and Lance Berkman before the deadline.

At this point, I think The Onion is 60% shirtless Biden photoshop posts. I have no problem with that.

18th-Century Ship Found at Trade Center Site
What? An old ship and this old timey shoe? How did I not hear about this?

Today was another awesome summertime day at the beach!
I really want to go to the beach with John one day. Well done. John, do you allow little babies to tag along? We’re all in, if you do.

OK. I can finally admit that it really happened. If you go to your local bookstore, you can buy my book.
If you go to the Barnes and Noble in Union Square and buy it, you have a chance to get a limited addition copy with genuine drool on it from the little lady mentioned in the very first sentence.
Although, if you do go buy it, try to find it a local book store, not a chain. If for no other reason than you should go to your local book store more often.
Also, consider leaving an honest review on a certain not-so-local site?
