Thanksgiving dinner. Delivered.

And thanks for asking, she's feeling much better these days, we just didn't want to risk it.
Canadian music week does not rest on American national holidays.
While this song was written by her, she shares some of the songwriting credits on this album with Ron Sexsmith, amongst others. Give this one a shot, it’s great and a perfect listen while coming out of a turkey induced coma.
Want to lend a hand to your old pal Ted? .
You see, we were nominated (by me) and reviewed on KillerStartups. The prestige of getting a large number of votes on that site is unmatched. It’s like winning the nobel prize, pulitzer prize, an academy award, a darwin award and the Bad Sex in Fiction award all rolled into one. So you can see why I’m anxious to get more votes.
I for Canadian music and have been throughout the week. Today I’m upping the ante by posting a song by Canadians with “Canada” in the name. What will tomorrow bring?
This song is great.
Yesterday I claimed that I’d continue posting Canadian music as the week progressed. I’m making good on that promise by posting one of my favorite songs from the past few months. This whole album plays like a band that spent several months listening to The Cure and then went immediately into the studio to record an album in one long three day weekend… in a good way.
I heard this song and immediately wanted the whole album. I searched and searched for months and months until I came upon my new love, who happened to carry it in flac.
Lately, I’ve been of the opinion that “if it’s not Candian, it’s crap” when it comes to music. This is an odd position for someone raised just outside Chicago who moved to NYC by way of 5 years in Portland. In fact, I’ve spent no more than two uneventful nights in the Great White North. It is however, for the moment, fact. I’ll post more Canadian music as the week progresses.
I’ve been working on a side project for a while and over the last few days I decided to redo the signup process. Signup isn’t the most interesting part, but I thougt it could use some work. I’m no sox, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. So heres how it works now.
First, if you (while logged out), you’ll notice the welcome text on the home page.
You can just check for a username right there.
Hrm. “tedroden” isn’t free, I’ll try something else.
Perfect. Now the page expands…
So I click where it tells me and I’m all set. I can edit more information (if I want), start befriending people or enjoying things right there.
What do you think? Better/worse?
I was watching reruns of the original American Gladiators (yep) when I noticed that one of the contestants was actually John C. McGinley from Scrubs, Platoon, Wall Steet, Highlander 2, etc.
Awesome.
Challah bread is a great way to eat butter.
I used to say that bread was just an excuse to eat things that are hard to eat on their own: Butter, Jelly, Peanut Butter, cream cheese, etc.
