Postal Service seeks to weather economic storm (via pile)

I love the post office. I’d never realized it, but Ara pointed this out to me just the other day. Then looking back, it’s pretty amusing:

  1. Since I moved out of my parents house 10 years ago, I’ve always had at least one separate mailing address at either a PO box or just a local mailing shop.
  2. I tend to get myself in the where I have to send out mail at least once a day… sometimes, I record the event.
  3. In the years I’ve lived with my wife, I’ve never let her check the mail… she’s picked it up when I wasn’t around, but has stopped doing that in the past couple of years.
  4. At the moment, I have two kinds of personalized stationary, plus three that aren’t personalized. I go through them. Also, I’m a dude.
  5. This is the first page of results when searching my web history for mail related terms… seriously, look at the screenshot.
